Baby Items for Various Nonprofits
Baby items such as burp cloths, blankets, hats are always in demand at homeless and women’s shelters.
Instructions:
Use any pattern you want or use the patterns in the download section.

We donate baby items year-round to various groups.

Fidget Blankets for Hospice/Memory Centers
We have been asked to sew fidget blankets to relieve anxiety and stress in elderly hospice patients with dementia.
Instructions:
Fidget blankets are typically a small lap blanket with multiple items such as zippers, buttons, Velcro items, rickrack etc.
Deadline:
Please bring your finished fidget blankets to Spring Fling and the Annual meeting.

Holiday Stockings for Ronald McDonald House
Approximately 150 stockings donated annually to the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House for children to fill with gifts from the Toy Room. For many of these children, these are the only Christmas gifts they will receive.
Instructions:
For consistency, please use the pattern provided below under Additional Items. We want a larger stocking that allows the children to get several toys. To request a paper stocking pattern, please email the Community Service Chair.
Deadline:
We donate the stockings to the Ronald McDonald House in early November so please bring your finished stockings to the annual meeting in late October or contact the Community Service Chair about getting them turned in before November.

Pencil Pouches for Schoolchildren
We create pencil pouches for schoolchildren to hold their “things”. We donate to ICS and other organizations.
Instructions:
They should be big enough to hold pencils, 24-count crayons, glue sticks, scissors, and erasers. Two sizes: 12” x 5” and 10” x 4”. Create from cotton fabric with a heavier inside layer (denim or upholstery fabric). Snap, Velcro, button or zipper closure.
Deadline:
ICS pouches by July 1st but year-round for other organizations.

Chemo Hats for the Blood Marrow Transplant Unit Patients at Northside Hospital
