Bodice Fitting Workshop
Join us for a hands-on, one-day workshop led by Ricky Greenwell, ASG member and professor at Kennesaw State University, as we dive into the art and science of bodice fitting.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to achieve a beautifully tailored bodice that fits your unique shape. We’ll begin by discussing the essential body measurements needed for a well-fitted bodice and how to take them accurately. Then, using your muslin mockup, Ricky will guide you through evaluating the fit, identifying common fitting issues—such as gaping necklines, bust dart misplacement, shoulder slope, and more—and provide practical solutions.
You’ll also learn how to transfer your fitting corrections back to your paper pattern, ensuring your final garment reflects all the adjustments made during the fitting process. Whether you’re new to garment fitting or looking to refine your skills, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to create bodices that fit and flatter.
