Common Threads Fabric Resale is our annual fundraising event presenting fabric and other sewing related items for sale to ASG member and the public.

The proceeds are used for community sewing events, including free sewing lessons to the public at select libraries, as well as partially subsidizing class fees for education programs and our biannual events.

Donations are accepted throughout the year from ASG members and the public, offering sewing related items at very reasonable prices. It’s a treasure hunt!  

This year’s color is GREEN. If you are able, please prepare your donations like this: 

• Write the width (inches) and yardage (closest ¼ yard) on a muslin strip tied around the fabric. (be careful the ink doesn’t bleed through!)
• Bag small notions with the count, if applicable. We’ll price these.
• If you are not able to measure and mark, we will be happy to receive your donations and do the measuring.
• We are accepting garment and quilting fabric (NO home dec fabrics or scraps), patterns, notions, books, magazines, hand and machine embroidery notions and other things sewing-related.
• Note: Donations for this year’s sale will not be accepted after August 1st.
