About our Guest Speaker: Nancy Nix-Rice: 25+ years of experience in style consulting; she’s authored 3 books on image and wardrobe development:

Her background in the home sewing industry provides nuts-and-bolts knowledge of fabric quality, construction standards, fit fine points and alterations options that is rare in the image field.
Her career experience includes retail management, buying and personal shopping; teaching tailoring, fit and alterations in my own sewing school/fabric store; managing a corporate training department; working as Image Manager for a major hospitality company and teaching Dale Carnegie personal development courses.
She was among the first of only 150 consultants worldwide to earn CIP professional certification from the prestigious Association of Image Consultants International (AICI).

About the President’s Challenge: Announcing the 2019 President’s Challenge! Sew a classic autumn trend … red or plaid. Sew anything in any shade of red or any color of plaid. Get creative! This doesn’t need to be a garment it could also be a handbag, pet bed, table runner, goat coat, baby quilt, bowling ball bag 🎳, valance or anything! Bring your entry to the 2019 ASG Atlanta Annual Mtg on October 19. Our President will pick a winner who will receive a prize.
Cost: As always, there is no charge for our Atlanta ASG Members Annual Meeting and luncheon, but you must register so we have a headcount for the caterer.
This year, we are also inviting non-members to register for our luncheon for a minimal cost of $25 – keep in mind, for only $20 more you can join the American Sewing Guild and take advantage of all Chapter events. Other ASG members are welcome to attend for $20.
Venue: We will be returning to the beautiful Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Facility, Building B, 6500 Vernon Woods Drive, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 (285 and Roswell Road NE)
Registration will open September 1st and close October 8th
Check-In: 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Program: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
