After August 15th\, refund may be available if there is a substitute student. Is your serger still in the box or gathering dust in a corner? A serger can really enhance your sewing by sewing and finishing seams in one pass and adding professional-looking edges on fabrics. But they can be a little intimidating. This class will cover basic serging techniques to get you started on your machine. Learn the basic techniques for serging: 4 thread seamsFinishing 4 thread seamsSwitching to 3 thread modesEdge stitching to finish seams sewn on a conventional machineRolled hemsRounding an outside curveSerging an outside cornerA prerequisite for taking this class is being able to thread your serger from scratch (with no thread in the serger to start). For those who need help with threading\, a remedial threading class will be held at Rita’s house in Roswell on Sat.\, August 8th ($10 donation).
